Give back on your big day!

I recently heard of a friend who is giving back on her big day? How? Many ways!

Guidestar published this article back in 2003 informing others how everyone benefits when charitable donations are made in honor of wedding bell bliss. Couples support a cause that is meaningful to them and worthy charities benefit.

How do couples do this?

• Include a non-profit organization in your wedding registry
• In leiu of wedding favors, make a donation to a charity in honor of your guests
• Wedding party gift cards: purchase charity gift cards for your wedding party and they go online and donate the gift card to the charity of their choice
• Create a wedding registry with a partner store who will donate up to 10% of proceeds to your charity of choice
• Earn money for your charity when you're shopping for your wedding. Partner stores donate up to 10% of proceeds from your wedding purchases to your charity of choice
