Beads of Courage is a wonderful organization that provides the arts-in-medicine program to over 90 children's hospitals across the country. For every procedure, every poke, for a length of stay in the hospital, every milestone - children receive a bead to represent their journey, and their courage.
Through the Beads of Courage program, children collect beautiful glass beads they string together to represent their medical care and treatment. This collection of beads become a sense of pride, a story of resilience, and support children coping through hospitalization.
