Cheering crowds at an old, local, hometown gym called me in to get a piece of the action. Inside, a school-age, co-ed, friendly basketball game between to schools!
Fans were stomping their feet on the bleachers, teammates cheered, "De-fense...de-fense..." and screams were heard across the gym (and outside!) anytime a basket was scored.
Being in this environment makes me appreciate all of those youth coaches out there who volunteer their time to support the development of youngsters.
